Curl Wrap Help & FAQs
What makes the Curl Wrap different from a regular towel?
Unlike traditional bath towels, the Curl Wrap is designed specifically for drying hair. Its soft organic cotton fabric helps absorb excess moisture while reducing friction, which can contribute to frizz, breakage and disruption of the curl pattern.
Is the Curl Wrap a microfibre towel?
No. The Curl Wrap is made from organic jersey cotton with 5% elastane for added stretch and comfort.
Why is the Curl Wrap made from organic cotton?
We chose organic cotton because it is soft, breathable and gentle on hair. The fabric absorbs excess moisture while helping to minimise friction, making it ideal for curls and other delicate hair types.
Does the Curl Wrap help reduce frizz?
Yes. By reducing friction during the drying process, the Curl Wrap can help minimise frizz and support smoother, more defined curls.
Is the Curl Wrap suitable for all hair types?
Yes. The Curl Wrap is suitable for all hair types, including straight, wavy, curly and coily hair. It can be used to gently absorb excess moisture without rough towel drying.
How long should I wear the Curl Wrap?
For wrapping, we recommend wearing the Curl Wrap for up to 5 minutes before styling. For plopping, you can leave it on for up to 20 minutes.
What's the difference between wrapping, plopping and micro-plopping?
Wrapping involves securing wet hair in the Curl Wrap to absorb excess water. Plopping gathers curls into the wrap to encourage curl definition while drying. Micro-plopping involves gently scrunching sections of hair with the fabric to remove moisture while maintaining curl formation.
Can I use styling products before wrapping my hair?
Yes. Many people apply their leave-in conditioner, curl cream or gel before using the Curl Wrap, especially when plopping. The Curl Wrap can be used as part of your usual styling routine to help absorb excess moisture while supporting curl definition. For best results, apply your preferred styling products as normal and follow the drying method that works best for your hair type.
Can I use the Curl Wrap before diffusing?
Yes. Using the Curl Wrap before diffusing helps remove excess water from the hair, which can reduce drying time and minimise heat exposure.
Can I sleep in my Curl Wrap?
We don't recommend sleeping in the Curl Wrap. It is designed to absorb excess moisture after washing and should be removed before bed.
How big is the Curl Wrap?
The Curl Wrap measures approximately 70cm x 105cm, making it suitable for a variety of hair lengths and thicknesses.
Will it work on long or thick hair?
Yes. The generous size and stretch of the Curl Wrap make it suitable for most hair lengths and densities, including long and thick hair.
Is the Curl Wrap suitable for children?
We don't recommend using the Curl Wrap on babies or very young children. Older children can enjoy using the wrap with adult supervision.
How often should I wash my Curl Wrap?
We recommend washing your Curl Wrap every few uses to keep it fresh and free from product build-up. Visit our Care Guide for full washing instructions.
