After years of straightening my curls, everything changed when I welcomed my daughter in 2013. I knew I didn’t want her to grow up feeling the way I had about her natural hair, so I chose to embrace mine - ditching the heat and learning how to truly care for my curls. Along the way, I struggled to find the right tools and better accessories that truly understood curly hair. There were options, but not the ones I was searching for. So I created Practicurl - born from a promise to my daughter and built on the belief that curls deserve more. Today, we build it together, and she proudly wears her curls. Practicurl exists to provide better accessories to help us care for and embrace our curls.
